Glass and Metal.
Crystal Coat is a special effect formulation for glass and metal. CC is recommended for furniture, partitions, architectural elements and other decorative components. When Crystal Coat is heat set, this two-part system creates a unique crystalline effect on the printed areas. Crystal Coat exhibits excellent indoor durability with superior chemical and abrasion resistance. CC is available in clear and solvent dyes for special color effects.
For normal use, mix component 1 and component 2 in equal parts. However, crystal size may be changed by adjusting ratios. Increasing component 1 increases crystal size. Ratio of part 1 to part 2 may be as high as 4 to 1. (Also see screen mesh).
Approximately 8 hours after mixing.
Bake Dry: 350F for 2 to 4 minutes, depending on thickness of substrate.
CC Series inks will not air dry. Equipment: for proper application, an industrial conveyorized dryer with air movement (3,000 to 5,000 cfm) is required to achieve an even crystal pattern.
CudnerCote or other Direct Photo Emulsion. Capillary films.
65 to 150 mesh is recommended. Coarser mesh counts will produce larger, brighter crystals. Finer mesh counts produce smaller, less reflective crystals.
All types, 60 to 80 durometer. |
