EN Enamels provide excellent weatherability for outdoor signage on metal and wood. Adhesion and abrasion resistance on glass is unmatched, particularly for game part and mirrored items. EN withstands the mirroring process without breaking down. Good on cardboard, paper, some plastics. TE Transparent Enamels provide see-through gloss on foils, reflective films such as Scotchlite, glass, mirrors, some plastics, metal, wood, masonite/duron.
EN Series cures by oxidation. Dries to the touch in 12-24 hours. In batch oven at 180F, bakes dry to the touch in 5-10 hours. Optimum abrasion resistance in 72 hours. Because enamels cure by oxidation, it is necessary they be exposed to air (oxygen). Racking is recommended. Standard conveyor units are of little use in curing enamels.
