Most plastics, including: Acrylics such as Plexiglass and Lucite; rigid, semi-rigid and flexible vinyls, especially fleet marking films by 3M, Avery and Flexcon, foamed vinyl sheets such as Sintra, Trovicel, etc. Other plastics: styrene, top-coated or otherwise print treated polyester, polycarbonates such as Lexan. Other substrates: many coated and uncoated metals, glass, Foam Boards, coated and uncoated paper and wood.
PA inks dry through solvent evaporation. Fresh air volume is more of a factor in dry time then temperature. Force Dry: for high volume air dryer (3000-5000CFM, equipped with air knifes) at 100-120F: 30-60 seconds. Air Dry: 15-45 minutes depending on air circulation and temperature.
CudnerCote or other direct method emulsions, capillary films.
160 to 300 Monofilament.
All types, 60 to 80 durometer.
REDUCER: use PA-601 to achieve desired viscosity. Mixing colors should be used without thinning. RETARDER: use PA-621 to slow in-screen drying. Excess use of PA-621 will inhibit curing of the printed film. FLOW-PROMOTER: To improve ink flow out, use PA-620C Concentrate Flow Promoter or PA-620. PA-620C is recommended especially for PA mixing colors. Use no more than 2 oz. per Gallon! Over use of this highly concentrated additive will create bubbling and adversely affect adhesion.
Approximately 1200 Sq. Ft./Gallon.
