While formulated primarily for printing untreated Mylar and similar polyesters, PR Series colors are also compatible with treated polyester and some other plastics and metal. PR is flexible and recommended for die-cutting; can be embossed under heat and pressure. Extended outdoor performance.

PERFORMANCE NOTES

PR is an aggressive formula developed specially for untreated polyester. This is a fast drying ink which dries to a durable high gloss finish with superior weatherability. Flexible, resist chipping when die-cut.

BEST SUBSTRATES

Recommended primarily for untreated polyester. Also performs on top coated polyesters and other plastics, some synthetic woven fabrics, coated and uncoated metals (test sample with each coating).

OPACITY

Good on most colors.

DRYING

Dries through solvent evaporation; may be baked to accelerate cure.

Air Dry: 10 to 15  minutes depending on air circulation and temperature. 

Force Dry: For high volume air dry (3,000 -5,000) CFM equipped with air knives at 100 -120F: 30 - 60 seconds.

Bake Dry: 30 seconds at 300F.

STENCILS

Photographic, hand-cut water soluble or direct method.

SCREEN MESH

160 TO 300+ polyester monofilament.

SQUEEGEES

All types, 60 to 80 durometer.

MODIFIERS

REDUCE with PR-7001

RETARD with PR-7021

IMPROVE FLOW with PR-7020

WASH-UP with PR-7010
