PURE Series High Solids Polyurethane Ink

A high solids, low VOC, thermal set polyurethane coating designed for screen printing and roller coating applications on decorative metal and glass. Dominant features are exceptional flow characteristics and cross-linking properties, chemical resistance, and out door durabillity. Exhibits exceptional flexibility on metals with or without the incorporation of a first-down size-coats. PURE 500 Series may be modified for coil coating and spray applications.

Performance standards meet and exceed the specific demands of the automobile and applicance metal trim fabricators.

Additional applications of the PURE 500 Series include nameplate fabrication, out-door metal signage, and decorative, architectural, and home furnishing glass.

SUBSTRATES

 

Metals, glass, anodized, mill finished and primed aluminum. Special primers and top coats are available for increased flexibility and chemical resistance.

 

BAKE/CURE

 

300°F for 15 minutes, 350°F for 8 minutes, 400°F for 4 minutes.

Colors may partially cured at lower temperature or cure time cycles during multi-color applications with a final cure at the appropriate time/temperature cycles.  

 

Note:

1) Insufficient temperature and thermal dwell time will adversly affect gloss levels and environmental resistance.

2) The addition of 0.5 to 1.0% of PURE-650 Catalyst is required.
